- Color Variation: State that colors may vary slightly due to screen resolutions or lighting during photography.
- Fabric Care: Clearly mention that the boutique is not liable for damage caused by improper washing or dry cleaning after the purchase.
2. Return & Exchange Policy
This is often the most important section for a boutique.
- Standard Window: A typical boutique window is 7 to 14 days for returns or exchanges.
- Condition: Items must be unworn, unwashed, and have all original tags attached.
- Non-Returnable Items: Specify that custom-stitched suits, sale items, or jewelry/accessories cannot be returned for hygiene or personalized reasons.
- Proof of Purchase: Require a video of the parcel opening for any claims regarding missing or damaged items.
3. Custom Orders & Tailoring
If you offer stitching services, include these specific rules:
- Measurements: State that the boutique is not responsible for fit issues if the customer provided the measurements.
- Advance Payment: It is common to require a 50% non-refundable deposit before starting a custom-made suit.
- No Cancellations: Once fabric is cut or production begins, orders usually cannot be cancelled.
4. Shipping & Delivery
- Timeline: Provide an estimated delivery time (e.g., 3–7 working days) and clarify that you are not liable for courier delays.
- Undeliverable Packages: If a package is returned due to a wrong address provided by the customer, they are typically responsible for the re-shipping costs.
